- Yesterday, four North Kingstown liquor stores got some snazzy new hardware to battle fake ID usage. The scanners, costing about $900 each, read the magntic strips and bar codes on the back of licenses and ID cards and, if the machine can't read the information, the card is denied. , , and will all be hosting these scanners.
