Acela Train Disabled in North Kingstown
All passengers were transferred to another train after two wheels slipped off the track.
An Amtrak Acela train became disabled in North Kingstown late this afternoon when two wheels came off the track. All passengers have been transferred to another train and no injuries have been reported.
The disabled train — No. 2171 — came off the track arpund 5 p.m. today. Amtrak officials were not immediately available for comment. Check back with North Kingstown Patch for more details as they become available.
