5 Things: Wickford Junction, STEM Panel & Updike

Five things to know for May 21.

1.  The North Kingstown Planning Commission meets tonight at 7:30 p.m. at town hall. On the agenda, the commission will discuss a transit-oriented study of the Wickford Junction train station. Check the full agenda here.

2.  Tomorrow night, North Kingstown High School is hosting a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) Career Panel for students, featuring speakers from the FAA, Toray Plastics, Raytheon, the RI Crime Lab, Lockheed Martin and more. The panel runs from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the media center. RSVP to Mrs. Budlong at 401-268-6240.

3.   North Kingstown residents may recognize the Updike name, but do you know the story? The North Kingstown Free Library is hosting a program Wednesday night, called "Daniel Updike: A Forgotten Rhode Island Advocate." The program starts at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. RSVP here.

4.  Tonight is the all-town choral festival at North Kingstown High School, starting at 7 p.m.
