5 Things: Up to the Jury, RESP Meeting & More

Five things to know for Oct. 6.

  1. Both the and in the murder trial of North Kingstown's Kimberly Fry. The jury will begin its deliberations today. If convicted on the second-degree murder charge in her 8-year-old daughter's death, Fry could face life in prison.
  2. The Rhode Island Renewable Energy Siting Partnership (RESP) will hold its second stakeholder meeting tonight. . Tonight's meeting will be held at 6 to 9 p.m. in the Hazard rooms at the URI Coastal Institute building, 215 South Ferry Rd., Narragansett, RI, 02882.
  3. Tonight, will host its sixth annual open house from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Parents will follow their child's schedule (albeit abbreviated). Your day of "classes" begins at 6 p.m. in the auditorium.
  4. The girls field hockey team takes on Barrington at home today starting at 3:30 p.m. At 3:45 p.m., the girls tennis team will play against Bay View (also on the home turf). Indoors, NKHS's unified volleyball team plays against Cranston West at 3:30 p.m.
  5. Who turned down the thermostat? High temperatures will dip into the lower 60s today with mostly sunny skies and breezy conditions. Tonight, temperatures will drop into the 30s before going up to 61 during the day tomorrow.
