Five things to know for Sept. 19.

  1. The North Kingstown Town Council returns tonight with a loaded agenda. The council will look at a new animal ordinance, extended the moratorium on wind energy systems and more tonight at 6:15 p.m. at Tonight's meeting will start with an executive session.
  2. kicks off its first annual today at the , Texas scramble style. Registration starts at 7 a.m. and shot gun start is at 8 a.m. Compete in multiple contests, such as nearest the hole, longest drive, etc. and enter in for raffle prizes.
  3. Are you an aspiring photographer? Head over to the for the . The group offers critiques and shares knowledge of photo techniques and equipment. Meetings are open to all and held every first and third Monday of the month. Kicks off tonight at 7 p.m.
  4. The girls field hockey team takes on Lincoln High School today at 3:45 p.m. up in Lincoln. The NKHS girls cross country team is also competing away tonight against West Warwick.
  5. Things will stay mild tomorrow with highs in the mid 60s with sunny skies. Tomorrow, expect hazy sun and clouds with highs near 70.
