5 Things: St. Paddy's, Shamrock Shuffle & More

Five things to know for March 15.

1.  Head over to the North Kingstown Free Library tonight for "Celebrating Ireland and Irish Step Dancers." This musical program embraces Irish history and culture. As a special treat, dancers from the Kelly School of Irish Dance will perform Irish step dancing. Starts at 7 p.m. Please register so the library can have an accurate head count!

2.  The Pet Refuge is holding its annual spring/Easter bazaar this weekend. Stop by the Cold Spring Community Center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and check out the assortment of gift baskets, pet items, raffles as well as a silent auction, baked goods, books and more. Learn more here.

3.  Before that, head down to the Slocum Grange for its annual St. Patty's Breakfast. The Grange is also collecting donations for the North Kingstown Food Pantry, so feel free to bring any non-perishable food items. Runs from 7 to 10 a.m. Saturday morning. Click here for the full menu and pricing.

4.  In the mood for some running? Run the Shamrock Shuffle 5K this Sunday in North Kingstown! Entrants get a t-shirt and a free pint at Gillian's Ale House following the race. (The latter half of that only applies to the 21+ crowd.) Race starts at 9 a.m. at North Kingstown High School. Get the full details here.

5.  Today: a chance of sprinkles after 5 p.m. with highs near 41. Tonight: a chance of sprinkles before 11 p.m. with lows around 29. Tomorrow: a slight chance of snow showers between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. followed by a chance of rain with highs near 39.
