5 Things: Senior Center, Scouts & Storm

Five things to know for Nov. 3.

1.  The North Kingstown Senior Center (Beechwood Center) will reopen on Monday. The center has been closed all week due to the effects of Superstorm Sandy.

2.  The NK Transfer Station will be . The station will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. today.

3.  Boy Scouts Quidnessett Pack 7 will be picking up the bags they left last Saturday from doorsteps, starting at 9 a.m. today

for their 25th Annual Scouting for Food Drive. Please fill your bags with non-perishable food and leave them next to your front door. All food will be donated to the North Kingstown Food Pantry.

4.  Remarkably, Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away. Head down to the North Kingstown Free Library today for Thanksgiving Craft & Cupcake Decorating. Make a paper turkey for your Thanksgiving table and decorate some cupcakes to snack on while you hear a Thanksgiving story. For ages 4 and up. Starts at 2 p.m. Register here.
