5 Things: Poetry, Royal Wedding & Jitters Freeze

Today's five essentials.

We're almost to the weekend. Can you smell it yet? Yeah, neither can we. Here are some things (five things, to be exact) that my lift your spirits.

  1. Our sources tell us that the Jitters Freeze is back. This revelation has led us to a new dilemma: should we get it with whipped cream or no whipped cream?
  2. Looking to try your hand at poetry? Head over to the North Kingstown Free Library for this one-session workshop from 10 to 11 a.m. .
  3. If you're ecstatic about the royal wedding, we suggest you get to bed early tonight. In case you overlooked this little nugget of information, the wedding starts at 4 a.m. So get some sleep, grab your big fancy hat and have the coffee pot prepped and ready.
  4. The NKHS boys baseball team looks to continue their undefeated record at home today as they take on Lincoln High School. The boys kick off the game at 3:45 p.m. at Lischio Field.
  5. Showers and thunderstorms look to roll through most of the day, with the strongest expected in the afternoon with highs in the low 70s. Fortunately, the rainy weather will be departing tomorrow just in time for sunny skies and temperatures in the 60s from now until Sunday.
