5 Things: No School, Committee Meeting & Workshops

Five things to know for Jan. 21.

1.  The North Kingstown School Committee meets this Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the high school. On the agenda, the committee will discuss the upcoming school budget, look at an audit of its transportation services and discuss school security reports from the past year and a half. Read the full agenda here.

3.  Is your water supplied by a private well? Learn how to protect your well water at a free seminar on Tuesday at the North Kingstown Free Library. Starts at 7 p.m. Learn more here and how to register.

4.  The North Kingstown Chamber of Commerce is hosting a series of workshops about local businesses and taxes. The first will be this Wednesday morning at the chamber with Town Manager Michael Embury, who will be discussing the re-evaluation process and a forecast for taxes in the coming years. 5.  Today: a chance of snow showers in the afternoon with highs near 31. Tonight: show showers likely with lows around 20. Tomorrow: a chance of snow showers before 2 p.m. with otherwise partly sunny skies and highs near 27.
