5 Things: No-Hitters, New Police Chief & Mad Science

Today's five essentials.

  1. Just because it's April break doesn't mean the learning has to stop. Swing by the today at 2 p.m. for the Mad Science presentation. Register online here.
  2. North Kingstown has a new police chief today. Thomas Mulligan was sworn in at last night's Town Council meeting.
  3. Congratulations to freshman pitcher Dom Grillo, who threw a no-hitter yesterday and led the boys baseball team to its 14-0 win over Middletown.
  4. We have quite a few home games on tap today. There's an injury fund girls track meet today at 10 a.m., boys baseball versus East Greenwich at noon, boys tennis versus Mount St. Charles at 3:45 p.m. and girls lacrosse at 6 p.m against Prout.
  5. Looks like that drabby spring weather is upon us once again. Today looks to be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers later on, with highs in the mid 50s. Tomorrow looks to be the same with a morning fog. On Thursday, we may actually see the sun. (Rejoice!)
