5 Things: Military Whist, Business After Hours & Crop Circles

Today's five essentials.

  1. Memorial Day is just around the corner. Why not celebrate our military with a card game? Head over to today at 1 p.m. for a game of - a card game made popular by the U.S. Military during the 18th and and 19th centuries. New members are welcome. Fee is $2 per player.
  2. The is teaming up with the Central Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce for at the Hampton In & Suites in Warwick. Tickets are $10 per person with refreshments provided by several area restaurants, including Chelo's, Legal Seafood and Texas Roadhouse.   3. If you're fascinated by those documentaries on crop circles, we highly recommend venturing down to the University of Rhode Island tonight for this event. "The Majesty and Mystery of Crop Circles" will feature a discussion and presentation by naturalist and education John Root on this mysterious phenomenon. This event will be held at Potter Hall and is open to all.
  4. The North Kingstown High School boys volleyball will hold a scrimmage at home against Scituate High School today at 4 p.m.
  5. Another chance of showers is expected today before 10 a.m. before the skies open up for mostly sunny conditions as highs hover near 70. Temperatures will drop into the lower 50s overnight before jumping up to the upper 60s Thursday when we can expect partly sunny skies.
