5 Things: Ladies' Night, Variety Show & Opening Day

Five things to know for May 3.

1.  It's . LINKS is hosting a fundraiser at from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday night. Enjoy a fun-filled evening with socializing and shopping. Sponsored by Kohls and General Dynamics Electric Boat, this event features 30 vendors, appetizers, door prizes and a cash bar for our enjoyment. Tickets are $15 at the LINKS office or at the . 2.  will hold its annual variety show this Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the auditorium. Admission is $10 with proceeds benefiting the senior class.

3.  Venture into the past with Bridge to the Past event this weekend. Reenactors will set up a 17th-century encampment at the castle grounds with tours and demonstrations going on all weekend. (P.S. Look out for pirates as Neal Kirk and Free Men of the Sea will also be at the event.) Runs from noon to 4 p.m. both days. $6 for adults, $3 kids ages six to 12.

4.  It's opening day at this Saturday. Stop by from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
