5 Things: Jennifer Way, Voter Deadline & Gilbert Stuart

Five things to know for Oct. 7.

1.  Our condolences to the family and friends of Jennifer Way of Saunderstown. Newport Police identified Jennifer as one of three women who were found dead inside a submerged car in Newport Shipyard.

2.   Today is your last chance to register to vote. If you have moved since the last election or have never voted before, you need to register if you plan to vote in the general elections next month. Here's a list of some last-minute places you can go to register. For complete election coverage (including ballot questions and more), check our Election Guide here.

3.  Head down to Gilbert Stuart Museum today for its Old Mill and Family Day. Enjoy some music courtesy of Doc Wood and Friends (a.k.a. the Farm Dogs) with corn grinding at the grist mill, an art show and more. Runs from 1 to 4 p.m. today at the museum. Tickets are $5 for adults, $2 for children and free for current museum members.
