5 Things: ESP Contract, Veggies & Council Meeting

Five things to know for June 25.

1.  The North Kingstown Town Council meets tonight at 6 p.m. at Beechwood Senior Center. The council will hold a joint meeting with the NK Planning Commission to discuss the Post Road District, big box stores, and scheduling a comprehensive plan work session. Click here for the full agenda.

2.  Join the for the today. Meet the folks from Farm Fresh RI to learn about the program and learn how to eat healthy (and local!) this summer. Runs from 4 to 6 p.m. and open to the public. 

3.  The North Kingstown School Committee meets tonight as well. On the agenda, the committee will consider and vote on the arbitration award for the Educational Support Professionals contract. Starts at 7:30 p.m. at the high school.

4.  The NK School Committee is also meeting tomorrow night at 7 p.m., once again at the high school. On tap, the committee will discuss transferring $200,000 from its fund balance for a possible HVAC project at the high school, technology infrastructure and classroom technology. Additionally, the committee will consider and vote on the award for of a custodial contract, discuss the floors at Quidnessett Elementary and discuss authorizing the superintendent to have spending authority for time sensitive expenses during the school committee's recess.
