5 Things: Budgets, Post-Apocalyptic Bash & Flu Shots

Five things to know for Jan. 15.

1. Tonight, the North Kingstown School Committee meets at 7 p.m. at North Kingstown High School. The superintendent will present his recommended budget for the upcoming year.

2.  "What's That Book Worth?" is back! Head over to the North Kingstown Free Library on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. as rare book dealer Ray Rickman offers his thoughts and insights in this interactive "Antiques Roadshow" style program. Bring two books for a free evaluation. Please register for this event.

3.  CVS and Rite Aid are out of flu shots, but you can still get vaccinated in town. There will be a community vaccination clinic tomorrow from 4 to 7 p.m. at North Kingstown High School.

4.  To celebrate the fact that we made it through the Mayan doomsday prediction, Twenty40 (North Kingstown's young professionals group) is holding a Post-Apocalyptic Bash next week. Join us from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Updike's Newtowne on Thursday, Jan. 17. Sons of Liberty will be providing drinks. 

5.  Today: mostly cloudy with highs near 43. Tonight: rain and snow showers with lows around 31. Tomorrow: rain showers, snow showers and sleet possible in the morning with highs near 39.
