5 Things: Budgets, Mother Goose & Weather Updates

Today's five essentials.

Got a case of the Mondays? Well, we hope you don't expect a cure here. We can, however, provide you with five things you may need to know for the day. How does that sound?

  1. For those who've been waiting to voice concerns regarding the town's upcoming budget, the wait is over. Public hearings for both the municipal and school budgets will be held tonight at 6 p.m. at the North Kingstown High School auditorium.
  2. The hotel in Quonset has opened on schedule this past week. Check back on North Kingstown Patch for a look inside the 'green'  hotel.
  3. Head over to Lischio Field today to see the NK boys baseball team take on Coventry at 3:45 p.m. NK is 2-0 on the season while Coventry is winless with a 0-2 record.
  4. For parents with a little one at home, we have the perfect excuse to get both of you out of the house on this Monday. Head over to the North Kingstown Free Library for Mother Goose Time at 10 a.m., featuring finger plays and music followed by toy time. For ages 12 to 24 months.
  5. 70º. Yes, it may actually happen today in some parts of Rhode Island. It's likely to be a foggy morning with a chance of thunderstorms switching into rain showers from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. High temperatures will be in the upper 60s with partly sunny skies. More showers are expected tomorrow night and into Tuesday morning. High temperatures tomorrow will be warm (in the high 50s) but not as warm as today.
