5 Things: Budget, Bingo & St. Paddy's Day

Five things to know for March 14.

1.  The North Kingstown Town Council will meet with department heads to go over the upcoming 2014 budget. The meeting starts at 2 p.m. at town hall.

2.  The North Kingstown Chamber Charitable Foundation is holding a "Bingo for Charity" tonight at the North Kingstown High School cafeteria. Starts at 7 p.m. and features a gift basket raffle. Prize for the "Best Irish Look" and plenty of food. Doors open at 6 p.m. Learn more here.

3.  St. Paul's Nursery students are leading a festive St. Patrick's Day parade through Wickford Village today at 11 a.m. Cheer them on and get a head start on the St. Paddy's spirit.

4.  Speaking of St. Patrick's Day: head over to the North Kingstown Free Library tomorrow for "Celebrating Ireland and Irish Step Dancers." This musical program embraces Irish history and culture. As a special treat, dancers from the Kelly School of Irish Dance will perform Irish step dancing. Starts at 7 p.m. Please register so the library can have an accurate head count!
