5 Things: Bond, April Fools & 23 Washington Street

Five things to know today.

1.  Today is April Fools Day and, whether you're the prankster or the one on the receiving end of the pranks, I decided that everyone deserves a chuckle today. That is why today's picture for 5 Things is my first grade photo from when I went to Davisville Elementary School. Please note my snaggletooth, crooked bangs, the floral turtleneck and – of course – the Care Bear. Enjoy.

2.  Tuesday, residents will be asked to vote on a $6.4 million bond referendum to repair several school buildings. (Check back for our story.) Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at two locations – Davisville Middle School and Cold Spring Community Center. 3.  The North Kingstown Historic District Commission meets tomorrow night at 7 p.m. at the conference room. On the agenda, the commission will discuss the situation at .

4.  Tuesday night's planning commission meeting has been moved to the Wickford Middle School library. Starts at 7:30 p.m.

5.  Today: a chance of showers in the afternoon with highs near 51. Tonight: showers before 5 a.m. with lows around 37. Tomorrow: a chance of showers in the morning with mostly cloudy skies, becoming sunny in the afternoon with highs around 46.
