5 Things: Birds, Backyards & Car Wash

Five things to know for June 22.

1.  Does your yard needs some TLC? Head down to the on Saturday for a presentation on , featuring some master gardeners. Starts at 10 a.m. Please register for this event.

2.  Wickford's going to the birds this weekend. On Sunday, the village will be holding its first-ever bird event – featuring a total of nine live hawks, owls and falcons. Meet and learn about these birds of prey and enjoy an art show dedicated to – you guessed it – birds. Music will be provided by NK's own Hummingbird Trio. Get the details here.

3.  The tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Head down to the at 6228 Post Road – $5 per car and $10 per truck/van. Learn more here.

4.  The North Kingstown Food Pantry is in dire need of donations. Drop of your non-perishable food items to the food pantry at the North Kingstown United Methodist Church Tuesday through Friday (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.) or at the North Kingstown School Administrative Office Monday through Friday (8 a.m. to 4 p.m.) Otherwise, please call ahead (401-294-9293) to ensure the office is open and someone will be available to accept your donations.
