Five things to know for June 24.

1.  Wickford's going to the birds this weekend. Today, the village will be holding its first-ever bird event – featuring a total of nine live hawks, owls and falcons. Meet and learn about these birds of prey and enjoy an art show dedicated to – you guessed it – birds. Music will be provided by NK's own Hummingbird Trio. Get the details here.

2.  The North Kingstown Town Council meets on Monday at 6 p.m. at Beechwood Senior Center. The council will hold a joint meeting with the NK Planning Commission to discuss the Post Road District, big box stores, and scheduling a comprehensive plan work session. Click here for the full agenda.

3.  Join the for the tomorrow. Meet the folks from Farm Fresh RI to learn about the program and learn how to eat healthy (and local!) this summer. Runs from 4 to 6 p.m. and open to the public.
