- Plan on hitting the beaches this summer? . The Department of Environmental Management will continue to charge last year's prices until early June when the proposed fee hikes are expected. You can purchase a beach pass at the DEM Parks & Recreation Headquarters at 2321 Hartford Pike in Johnson Monday through Friday's from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (cash or check only) or at Scarborough North, Roger Wheeler and Misquamicut state beaches Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (all forms of payment accepted.)
