5 Things: BBQ, Multi-Chamber Event & Turbines

Five things to know for Sept. 8.

  1. The Rhode Island Community Forums (presented by The Rhode Island Foundation and Rhode Island Public Radio) will host a community forum on off shore wind energy. Former Rhode Island Governor Donald Carcieri, Save the Bay Executive Director Jonathan Stone and others will be on hand for the forum, which starts at 5:30 tomorrow at Lippitt Hall on the University of Rhode Island's Kingston campus.
  2. Tonight join four local chambers of commerce for a down at the Narragansett Towers. The Chambers of Narragansett, North Kingstown, South Kingstown and East Greenwich will join tonight from 5 to 7 p.m. at the event.
  3. 's PTO will hold its tonight at 5 p.m.
  4. will holds its for grades three through five at 6:30 p.m. tonight.
  5. Shockingly enough, we have more clouds and showers in the forecast for today. Showers will (hopefully) taper off by the afternoon with highs near 70. Tomorrow will be mostly cloudy with patchy fog and highs in the upper 70s.
