5 Things: Back to School, Planning & School Meeting

Five things to know for Aug. 21.

1.  The North Kingstown School Committee meets tomorrow night at the central administrative building on Fairway at 5:30 p.m. This planning meeting will focus on the school department's strategic plan for the next three years. For more information, click here.

2.  The North Kingstown Planning Commission meets tonight at 7:30 p.m. at town hall. On the agenda, the commission will go over the comprehensive plan re-write process, a denial letter from Statewide Planning regarding Quonset's comprehensive plan and recommendations to the town council relating to elements of the compact village district zone, the Post Road district and more. Check the full agenda here.

3.  School starts in one week. School start times at the high school will be 10 minutes earlier while elementary schools with start 10 minutes later than last year. 4.  The first meeting of the night at 5:30 p.m. at Beechwood Senior Center. This group made of local stakeholders looks to find a consensus regarding the .
