5 Things, April 7: No School, Air Show Dates & Sunny Skies

Today's five essentials.

As much as we'd love to write today's 5 Things about 70 degree weather, a 20 percent property tax decrease and free Allie's donuts for all, we have to stick to the facts. (That'd be a pretty amazing day though, right?)

  1. Children of North Kingstown rejoice: you have no school tomorrow. Enjoy the three-day weekend and be safe!
  2. On a happier note, dates have been set for this year's Quonset Air Show! Come see the Blue Angels and other aerial acts on June 25 and 26 at Quonset Airport.
  3. Stony Lane Elementary School will host their talent show, "Stony Lane's Got Talent," tonight at 7 p.m. Head on over and discover the next Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber or [insert talented star who hasn't had a public breakdown yet].
  4. The North Kingstown Chamber of Commerce holds its annual meeting tonight at the Quonset 'O' Club at 5 p.m, featuring guest speaker April Williams of North Star Marketing.
  5. For today's weather, we'll see a chance of showers this morning before 10 a.m., followed by mostly sunny skies with a high around 50. Tonight will be pretty calm as temperatures fall into the 30s and then bump back up to 52 Friday with sunny skies.
