Weather Service Issues Flood Advisory

Most of Rhode Island is now under a flood advisory.

Mother Nature may held off on the rainy weather through most of Labor Day weekend, but Tuesday afternoon is looking to be a wet one.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for much of Rhode Island as the remnants of Hurricane Isaac move through the region. Tuesday's stoms may bring minor flooding of poor drainage area and small streams.

Heavy bands of heavy rain will continue moving across Connecticut and the Ocean State with rainfall rates up to one inch per hour are possible. The storm system is expected to leave the area by mid afternoon. The advisory expires at 3:15 p.m.
