Wickford Art Festival Is THIS Weekend!

Here's what you need to know.

Wickford's a popular tourist destination all year round, but Art Festival weekend is when everyone comes to town. Whether you are a North Kingstown native, or visiting from farther afield, there's always lots to see.

First things first, the festival itself is free. It runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday. Artists will be set up on West Main Street, Main Street, Brown Street and, off Brown Street, Franklin, Elam and Spink streets. To see a map of the festival, click here.

If you're smart, you'll stow your car (making a donation to the NK Rotary while you're at it) and ride the free shuttle bus into Wickford Village. Check out this post to get the lowdown on where you can and cannot park this weekend.

Once in the Village, you will have blocks of artwork to peruse, as well as all the shops of Wickford that make it a popular destination.

For food, in addition to the great local places (think Beach Rose Cafe and Tavern by the Sea), the First Baptist Church in Wickford will be offering freshly prepared food just as it has for 44 years. It will also be offering music in the afternoons. Click here for more information.

Have I left anything out? Please share it in the comments section below. See you at the festival!
