Rhode Island-Inspired Works on Display at Gilbert Stuart Museum

You'll see farmers markets, kayaks on Narrow River, a glimpse of the Fantastic Umbrella Factory in Charlestown, Chepachet, Block Island, Newport, Narragansett and more.

Rhode Island is truly an artists' paradise, with inspiration in everything from urban street scenes in Newport and Providence, to majestic landscapes from farm to sea.

A new exhibit at the Gilbert Stuart Museum Bell Gallery in Saunderstown takes that understanding and dives deep into the theme, with the works of several artists from around the state using the Ocean State's landscapes as their guide.

You'll see farmers markets, kayaks on Narrow River, a glimpse of the Fantastic Umbrella Factory in Charlestown, Chepachet, Block Island, Newport, Narragansett and more.

All artwork is on sale and proceeds benefit the museum.

The Exhibit is open during museum hours from July 18 until Aug. 17, Thursday – Monday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The museum, located at 815 Gilbert Stuart Road, is closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
