Baker from NK Advances in Pillsbury Bake-Off; Voting Through June 27

Nancy Fahey has been named a semifinalist in the first-ever 'Simple Sweets and Starters' division.

A North Kingstown resident is a semifinalist in this year's Pillsbury Bake-Off, with the next result chosen by online poll.

Nancy Fahey, who entered her Almond Cafe Cookies in the newly-created 'Simple Sweets and Starters' category, joins her sister from Connecticut in the semifinal round.

Under the new division's rules, recipes can have no more than seven ingredients, and can take no longer than 30 mins. to prepare.

This marks the 46th annual contest, which offers the winning creator a final prize of $1 million.
