5 THINGS: Cuba, Meetings and BUNCO!

It's Wednesday, the halfway point of the week! Almost there!

Here are the (more than) Five Things for Wednesday, May 15, 2013:

  • The South Kingstown Zoning Board of Review meets at 7 p.m.
  • The Narragansett School Committee meets at 7 p.m.

In North Kingstown, and looking to play Pop Warner football? The Jaguars are hosting registrations from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Cold Spring Community Center. For more info, click here.

It’s business – It’s business time. Business After Hours is being hosted by the Museum of Primitive Art at 5 p.m. The cost is $5, and for more info, click here.

Mmm, delicious vegetables and produce! Goose Pond Farm of West Kingston is offering community supported agriculture accounts from this season to Dec. 31. For more info, click here.

Has the time or date or details of one of your events changed? If you posted the event yourself on our site, then remember – You can always change the details if you’re logged into your Patch account. Failing that, leave a comment on the item in question! The issue is that lately, people have been e-mailing us, and depending on the time of the day, it can take anywhere from 30 minutes or 30 hours to get to the item, unfortunately. As a result, I encourage you all to be as proactive as possible!

Sign up for our daily newsletter! Hey, I realize we have a lot of neat features and knick-knacks on the site, so it can be confusing to keep up with it all. Want just one simple, easy to read daily digest? Sign up for our e-mail newsletter here then. It comes out between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. roughly, every single day of the week. Amazing, I know.

Oh no! Maybe there seriously aren’t that many events today, given that it’s International Day of Families. As a result, our events calendar for today is a bit barren. If you’re having an event, please let us know in the comments. Also, make sure it isn’t left out in the future – Submit it via this link (as long as you’re logged into your Patch account).

Also, jaywalking. On this day in 1536, Anne Boleyn was put on trial for treason, adultery and incest. (Spoiler alert – She probably wasn’t guilty of the first or third charge, and life kind of sucked in the 16th Century.)

She is gorgeous and in Hannibal. Happy 36th birthday to Canadian actress Caroline Dhavernas! She is one of the few bright spots – literally – in the graphic but very good Hannibal.
