49th Annual Wickford Art Festival Will Host 200 Artists this Weekend

The 49th annual Wickford Art Festival will be held this weekend, Saturday, July 9 through Sunday, July 10.

The will embark on its 49th year this weekend, showcasing approximately 200 artists from all over the United States and Canada.

As Festival Director Francie Christophersen describes, “If you have never been to the [Wickford] Art Festival, you are in for a wonderful surprise.” The festival boasts a reputation of being amongst the top 10 fine art shows in the country and is a favorite amongst elite art magazines.

Among the work found at the festival, there will be sculptures, paintings and glasswork. The event is devoted exclusively to the original works of fine art paintings, hand pulled prints, photography, and three-dimensional non-functional sculpture. One of the festivals favorite art exhibitors is Al Pasquale, says Christophersen. Pasquale, an oil painter, has been in the festival for at least 25 years running.
