North Kingstown Storm Central: Town Offices Open, Library Open At Noon

According to the Public Works Department, major roads have been plowed and they are now working on clearing secondary and neighborhood streets. Town offices are open today. The NK Free Library will open at noon.
Due to storm predictions, North Kingstown School Department has cancelled school Friday. Auditions for the high school musical are rescheduled to Monday.
There is a parking ban in effect until further notice.
Thursday, Jan. 2, 12 p.m.
The North Kingstown School Department has cancelled afternoon kindergarten and after-school activities for today. No decision yet on school tomorrow – probably won't be made until this evening, according to the administration.
Thursday, Jan. 2, 10 a.m.
Light snow will continue through Thursday, with conditions worsening Thursday evening and overnight. Some white-out conditions are predicted. North Kingstown could get between 6 to 10 inches of snow by Friday morning.
