NK Resident Not a 'Millionaire'

A North Kingstown man who competed on "Who Wants To Be a Millionaire" didn't win the top prize, but didn't walk away empty-handed either.

One North Kingstown resident is walking away from the stage of "Who Wants To Be a Millionaire" with cash, but not the top prize. Wednesday morning and made it to the $28,500 question. Unfortunately, Dolan answered the first round question incorrectly and walked away with $1,000.

Dolan stumbled on 10th question:

Which of the following suffragettes was the only one alive when the 19th amendment granted women the right to vote in 1920?

A: Harriet Tubman
B: Elizabeth Cady Stanton
C: Susan B. Anthony
D: Jane Addams

Before you go to check Wikipedia, the answer was D. Unfortunately, Dolan went with C and dropped from $28,500 to $1,000.

He appeared on the show opposite host Meredith Vieira, a fellow native of the Ocean State. Dolan – a 2006 graduate of North Kingstown High School and 2011 graduate of the University of Rhode Island – was joined by his mother, North Kingstown Town Council President Elizabeth Dolan, as his on-air companion.
