The Town Council approved a bid for $74,000 from 4wardPlanning Monday night to conduct a community market analysis for North Kingstown. The vote was 4-1, with Kevin Maloney voting in dissent. The council approved spending up to $75,000 on a market analysis in June.

Wickford Is Ready For The WEDAB

A letter from WEDAB chairwoman Ellen Waxman, owner of Five Main in Wickford. Wickford said goodbye to an excellent store and neighbor this week. The Clean Bedroom store has decided to leave town and open up shop elsewhere. They have locations in seven other states and Manager Michael Earnheart explains, "We moved to better serve a new market." Other Wickford business owners who own stores elsewhere will admit their other locations perform better than in Wickford. Why is that?

Monday, Aug. 19, 10:57 a.m. – The maintenance director for the owner of the former Shell station at 7380 Post Road told police someone had thrown rocks threw the glass front doors Sunday night. The owner was contacted at around 10:30 p.m. Sunday by an alarm on the building.

NK Man Dies After Weekend Crash In Coventry

Officials have confirmed that the driver involved in Saturday morning's crash on Main Street in Coventry has died from injuries sustained when the late-model Porsche he was driving struck a utility pole.

Potential Buyers Balk At Price To Save Boston Neck Rd. Farmhouse

Potential developers of Stonecroft at Wickford Village, a small subdivision proposed for 173 Boston Neck Road, told the Planning Commission last week it was impossible economically to restore the 18th century farmhouse in the center of the property into an affordable housing duplex. The original plan had the converted farmhouse ringed by five houses to be sold at market prices.
