5 THINGS: Food Trucks, Yoga and Bob Saget

Close out the work week on a relaxing note, with food or yoga or Bob Saget appreciation.

Here are the (more than) Five Things for Friday, May 17, 2013:

Dr. Seuss was always my favorite, just throwing that out there. There is storytime at the Davisville Library at 10 a.m. For more info, click here.

Who likes a food truck? Eddie’s BBQ will be setup on the gravel between Cumberland Farms and Brickley’s on Boston Neck Road in Narragansett from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. They’ll be there this Friday and Saturday, and throughout the summer. For more info, click here.

Busy evening at Lotus Fire Yoga and Healing! At 4:30 p.m., there is a $15 yoga session. At 5:30 p.m., there are $15 ballroom and Latin dance classes. So, don’t be a fuddy duddy, get out there!

SPACE! It is the final frontier, according to great men, and as usual on Friday there is free observation available from Frosty Drew in Charlestown. For more info, click here.

Mmm, delicious vegetables and produce! Goose Pond Farm of West Kingston is offering community supported agriculture accounts from this season to Dec. 31. For more info, click here.

Has the time or date or details of one of your events changed? If you posted the event yourself on our site, then remember – You can always change the details if you’re logged into your Patch account. Failing that, leave a comment on the item in question! The issue is that lately, people have been e-mailing us, and depending on the time of the day, it can take anywhere from 30 minutes or 30 hours to get to the item, unfortunately. As a result, I encourage you all to be as proactive as possible!

Sign up for our daily newsletter! Hey, I realize we have a lot of neat features and knick-knacks on the site, so it can be confusing to keep up with it all. Want just one simple, easy to read daily digest? Sign up for our e-mail newsletter here then. It comes out between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. roughly, every single day of the week. Amazing, I know.

Oh no! Maybe there seriously aren’t that many events today, given that it’s World Information Society Day. As a result, our events calendar for today is a bit barren. If you’re having an event, please let us know in the comments. Also, make sure it isn’t left out in the future – Submit it via this link (as long as you’re logged into your Patch account).

Nixon kind of was a crook. On this day in 1973, the televised Watergate hearings began.

I can’t link to any of his stand-up, because it’s incredibly rude. Happy 57th birthday to Bob Saget! You probably know him more as the host of America’s Funniest Home Videos or Danny Tanner from Full House, and not the really blue comic he is now.
