Smart Money Tour at Warwick Mall

As part of her Smart Money Tour, General Treasurer Gina Raimondo is helping Rhode Islanders search for their missing money this holiday season at the Warwick Mall on December 14 and 17.

"Everyone could use a little extra money during the holidays," said Raimondo. "We are making it convenient for Rhode Islanders to search for Unclaimed Property while searching for the perfect gift."

Currently, Treasury is holding more than 750,000 unclaimed properties, including forgotten bank accounts and life insurance claims, worth over $250 million. Raimondo's office over the last year has returned more than $8 million to over 8,000 Rhode Islanders.  The average claim ranges from $100 to $125.

Upcoming days and times to check for Unclaimed Property at the Warwick Mall, 400 Bald Hill Rd, Warwick, RI in front of Gymboree, near the center of the mall:

Saturday          December 14, 2013                 10 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Tuesday           December 17, 2013                 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

To date, Treasury's Smart Money Tour has visited 20 sites throughout Rhode Island. For event-specific information, contact Heather Hudson, Treasury's Outreach Director at 401-222-2394.
