Providence, RI – May 22, 2014 – Richmond resident Isaac Gilletly, a patient at Hasbro Children’s Hospital, was treated to a surprise visit from New England Patriot Julian Edelman, Pat Patriot, and Patriots cheerleader Brittney Dickie this week. Edelman visited the hospital to help kick-off Dunkin’ Donuts’ 5th Annual Iced Coffee Day to benefit Hasbro Children’s Hospital.
All day on May 21st, participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in Rhode Island and Bristol County, MA donated 50 cents for every Iced Coffee sold to The Dunkin' Donuts & Baskin-Robbins Community Foundation for the benefit of Hasbro Children's Hospital.
Since the inception of this annual fundraiser in 2010, Dunkin’ Donuts franchisees have raised nearly $633,000 to benefit Hasbro Children’s Hospital. The funds have resulted in tangible improvements to the facility, including: the creation and production of activity books for patients, a new play area in the pediatric ambulatory clinic, and most recently, the renovation of the 6th Floor Family Room, which was unveiled in April. This year's proceeds will help launch a new neighborhood and family safety program in Rhode Island and Bristol County, MA.
