North Kingstown Resident Played for Boys' Soccer Team At Grace Baptist Christian Academy

Sam Capobianco of North Kingstown was a member this fall of the boys’ soccer team of Grace Baptist Christian Academy of Attleboro, Mass., which finished as runners-up for the second straight year in the Regional Tournament sponsored by the New England Association of Christian Schools.

Capobianco was a forward this year for the Centurions, who bowed to South Merrimack Christian School of Merrimack, N.H., 2-0, in the regional championship match held in Newington, Conn. GBCA had advanced to the title contest by defeating Trinity Christian Academy of Williston, Vt., 2-1, in the semifinal round.

Capobianco did not compete in the regional tournament because of illness. His absence, according to GBCA Coach Jeffrey Nichols, “was a big loss to us.”
