Girl Scouts helps North Kingstown Food Pantry in their move to their new home!

As part of their Girl Scout Silver Award project, scouts from Senior NK Troop 259, Maia Correll and Sarah Jager worked with Bonnie Smith of the North Kingstown Food Pantry to help in their move to their new location on School Street. Maia built strong storage boxes from recycled pallet wood which will be used to display fresh produce obtained from local farms. Sarah put together a cookbook with healthy, easy, kid-friendly recipes using the items typically found in the food pantry. Printed copies of the cookbook are available at the current NK Food Pantry location for use by the volunteers and customers. The North Kingstown Food Pantry located at the North Kingstown United Methodist Church is moving to the Little Red Schoolhouse on School Street. Maia and Sarah encourage all North Kingstown residents to donate to the North Kingstown Food Pantry!
