BANKNEWPORT TO ISSUE DEBIT CARDS

BankNewport has rolled out its new instant issue Visa® debit card.  Whether opening a new account or replacing a lost or stolen card, instant issuance enables new and existing customers to visit a branch and, within seconds, receive a fully-functioning debit card and immediate access to their funds.

BankNewport has partnered with EFT Source, a provider of turnkey card programs and personalization services for ATM and debit cards, to implement Card@Once®, an instant issuance technology.   With Card@Once, all 15 BankNewport branch locations are now able to print ready-to-use debit cards within minutes of account opening, creating a secure, individualized PIN at the desk and activating the card at the onsite ATM, giving customers added confidence that the debit card is functional before leaving the branch.

“BankNewport continually strives to deliver advanced technologies that enhance the service experience for our customers,” said BankNewport Senior Vice President / Director of Retail Banking, Susan Replogle.  “With instant issue debit cards, customers benefit from the immediateness of the service.  Funds are instantly accessible. No longer do they have to wait for their card and PIN to arrive by mail.  The service is fast, convenient and simple, and our branch staff are excited by the positive customer reaction to this new technology.”
