Rescheduled Town Council Meeting To Tackle Sewers, Wickford El

EDAB sign ordinance meeting: The subcommittee will meet at the Chamber offices, 8045 Post Road. 8 a.m.

Wickford Plan meeting: Public Works director Phil Bergeron will be on hand to discuss West Main Street. Here’s the agenda. Town Hall. 5:30 p.m.

Town Council meeting: [This meeting was postponed from Monday, Jan. 13] Among the agenda items is “deliberation and possible action for next phases of the sewer project” as well as a proposed extension of the purchase option agreement for the Wickford Elementary School building by Stanley Weiss. The full agenda is here. NOTE: The meeting takes place in the auditorium at North Kingstown High School. 7 p.m.

Wickford Yacht Club Seminar Series – Quonset: Come to the Wickford Yacht Club to hear Steven King, managing director of the Quonset Development Corporation, present an update on what has been going on at Quonset, and also present us with a glimpse of what some of the future plans might be.Members, guests and the area boating community are invited. Recycle Your Christmas Tree: Live Christmas trees can be recycled at the Transfer Station (345 Devils Foot Road) free of charge through Jan. 25. Trees must be free of all decorations and removed from bag used to transport prior to disposal. After January 25, regular disposal rates will apply.
