Post Road Repaving Prep Starts Today

Your guide for life in North Kingstown today, Sept. 3.

Trash pickup delayed: Because of the Labor Day holiday yesterday, trash pickup is delayed a day all week, so if your trash is usually picked up on Monday, it will be picked up on Tuesday this week.

Post Road repaving: Post Road from Route 403 to Dana Road is being prepared for resurfacing this week by raising the structures in the road: manhole covers, and the gas and water valves. The structures will be marked with fluorescent paint. Drivers are being asked to travel at moderate speeds and with caution. At this time, weather permitting, the contractor is scheduled to resurface the road overnight on Sunday, Sept. 8. There will be two lanes of traffic open.

School Committee Policy Subcommittee meeting: The meeting takes place at the Central Administration Building, 100 Fairway Drive, at 8:30 a.m. The agenda is here.
