NK Community Chorus registration & rehearsal: Registration and first rehearsal for the North Kingstown Community Chorus take place tonight. Auditions and North Kingstown residency are not required. Subsequent rehearsals  will be Tuesdays from 7 to 9 p.m. Quidnessett Elementary School, 166 Mark Drive. 6:30 to 9 p.m.

Trivia Night Benefit for NK Food Pantry: Bravo Pizza is holding a series of trivia nights to benefit the North Kingstown Food Pantry. Teams of 2 to 6 players can register to compete in any of trivia nights from Jan. 21 to Feb. 25. Call 398-2500 or register your team on Bravo’s Facebook page. Gift Certificate Prizes to Bravo and Area Merchants will be awarded to the top 2 teams. Teams are asked to bring items for the NK Food Pantry when they come for Trivia Night. Items most in need now are: personal hygiene items such as toilet paper, dish washing soap, laundry soap, toothpaste, soaps and shaving creams, and shampoos.

ACL Prevention Workshop: OrthoCore Physical Therapy will be hosting a free education seminar covering ACL injuries and prevention. Attendees will receive a free exercise program designed to help prevent one of the most common knee injuries. Bereaved Parents USA meeting: Bereaved Parents USA/RI Chapter meets the fourth Tuesday of the month and is a free statewide support group for parents who have lost a young or adult child at any age from any cause, and who want to share with others who have had a similar devastating experience. Grandparents and siblings are also welcome to attend.  The meeting includes sharing, discussion of relevant grief topics, a lending library of books on topics related to grief, speakers, and other helpful free resources. Meditation As Medication For The Soul: Dr. Alan Post, a chiropractor practicing in North Kingstown, will lead this lively and practical workshop. He says, “Inside us is an energy that can make us whole—physically, mentally, and spiritually. By learning to meditate accurately, we tap into this energy and heal our physical illnesses, emotional stress, and spiritual isolation from within.” Every participant will receive a personal, instructed demonstration of meditation.
