North Kingstown Senior and Human Services at Beechwood
Beechwood is a multipurpose center providing a wide range of activities and services to adults 55 and over. It is also the home of the town's welfare services.
The facility offers wellness programs such as blood pressure and glucose screenings, weight management, reflexology and Zumba. It also offers enrichment programs such as art instruction, computer tutoring and instruction, crafts, Bingo, line dancing and much more.
In December 2009, Beechwood moved to its newly built facility across the lot from the original Beechwood. The facility contains a game room, fitness room, computer lab, indoor fireplace, Seabreeze Dining and various other amenities.
Additionally, Beechwood has been nationally accredited by the National Council of Aging (NCOA) -- an accreditation less than one percent of senior centers are awarded.
