Allie's 2nd Annual Animal Appreciation Day

From the carriage rides to the storewide sale, Allie's 2nd Annual Animal Appreciation Day was a huge success.  Started last year originally as a customer appreciation day, we put a different spin on it and deemed it "Animal Appreciation Day."  Our idea was that we wanted to have a day that displayed our appreciation and love of our animals.  We then focused on hosting several 4-H clubs and farms, because they embrace a lifestyle revolved around raising and taking care of animals, whether it's a career or a hobby.

This year, we invited several 4-H Clubs that we hosted last year, as well as many new ones for our Petting Zoo (a.k.a. "The Barnyard") along with pony rides, carriage rides and some food and refreshments.  We also invited C&L Stables for pony rides as well as Shadow Pines Farm to display the products they make from their alpacas, and of course their alpacas.  Many kids and families had the opportunity to see and pet their favorite animals while learning more about 4-H and how much of an impact those clubs have on the community.

We also invited our Blue Seal Representative to speak with customers about their pet and animal feed choices and answer any question they had regarding their animals.  To top it off, we had a storewide sale giving customers savings on their favorite brands of animal supplies.

Overall, we couldn't of asked for a better day!  We wanted to thank everyone that came to our store and had a chance to see what 4-H is all about, while having some good family fun.  Our customers deserve a tremendous thank you because we appreciate the loyalty to our store; the fact you keep coming back and sharing the same passion for animals that we do is an amazing thing. Allie's wouldn't be what it is without you!

Also, thanks Allie's Donuts for providing the donuts of course! Also, our Blue Seal Rep Sarah for coming to the event and speaking with our customers; we've gotten so many great comments about her and how much she helped everyone! Thank you to D Phillips Studios for the photography. A big final thank you goes out to all of the participating 4-H clubs and farms that joined us for this special event, because without them we wouldn't have an event to even begin with.  We're already looking forward to next years Animal Appreciation Day!
