Police Searching For Suspect in NK Bank Newport Robbery

A white man reportedly robbed the Bank Newport on Ten Rod Road.

 

The North Kingstown Police Department is searching for a suspect who robbed the Bank Newport in North Kingstown.

According to a release from the NKPD, the man entered the bank – located in the Stop & Shop plaza off Ten Rod Road – around 2 p.m. and handed the teller a note demanding money. No weapon was shown. 

After the teller complied with his demands, the man reportedly fled the bank in a northerly direction toward Ten Rod Road.

He is described as around a white man around 5'10", medium build, unshaven and wearing a gray knit winter cap and dark full length overcoat.
