NK Police Log: NK Man Charged With Indecent Exposure

Man Charged With Indecent Exposure

Dana Arpin, 47, of 12 Dayton Ct. in North Kingstown was arrested Sept. 4 at 8:43 p.m. on charges of indecent exposure.

On Aug. 31, three teenage girls (ages 13 through 14) were play outside at the time when they allegedly saw Arpin standing in window across the street from them masturbating. Reports indicate that Arpin was nude at the time. A parent of one of the girls told police that she saw a man, whom she knew as “Dana,” in a window and that he appeared to be masturbating. One of the girls allegedly told officers that she did not see Arpin’s “private parts” and that this was not the first time she’d seen him masturbating at his window: according to the girl, he is usually at his window when teenagers between the ages of 11 and 15 are outside. According to reports, Arpin admitted to officers that he was masturbating in the front bedroom of his apartment, but was unaware that his activity could be seen from the outside.

According to police, there have been multiple documented instances of suspicious activity regarding Arpin. Earlier this summer, police were called for a similar case of Arpin masturbating near his window. Police received two separate calls this summer as well, with callers complaining about Arpin’s “revealing” attire while walking around Wickford Village. (According to reports, Arpin was wearing a “small Speedo swimsuit” around the village.)

Walmart Employee Allegedly Stole Cash From Register

Ryan R. Aleman, 18, of 13 Carol Ln. in Narragansett was arrested Sept. 5 at 3 p.m. on three charges of unlawful appropriation.

According to reports, Aleman stole money from a cash register at – where he is employed. On Aug. 29, he allegedly took $20; three days later he took $50 and a pack of gum; on Sept. 4 he allegedly took $30 while working at a cash register.

NK Man Charges With Domestic Assault 

Jonathan Robert Ilarraza, 20, of 20 Sweet Ln. in North Kingstown was arrested Sept. 5 at 7 p.m. on charges of domestic assault and domestic disorderly conduct.

According to reports, Ilarraza assaulted a male family member after a confrontation regarding his prescription drug use. The family member reportedly confronted Ilarraza about stealing medication from their mother, causing Ilarraza to allegedly spit in the man’s face three times and strike him. According to police, the family member had several fresh cuts on his face and neck.

Officers arrested Ilarraza the following day after he fled from the scene.

NK Teen Cited For Allegedly Possessing Alcohol 

Brendan J. Hainse, 19, of 27 Preservation Dr. in Saunderstown was cited Sept. 6 at 9 p.m. on a violation charge of possession of an alcoholic beverage by an underage person.

Police pulled Hainse over for allegedly speeding, but discovered the 19-year-old Saunderstown resident had a 12-pack of beer in his car. According to reports, Hainse initially told police he was born in 1990, but then admitted he was born in 1992 after police asked him for is date of birth a second time.
