NK Man Allegedly Violated Protection Order

Robert Dale White, 47, of 452 Boston Neck Rd. of North Kingstown, was arrested May 8 at 5:30 p.m. on charges of violating a protection order.

According to reports, White was allegedly staying at the home of a woman who had a protection order against him for the past month. The woman claimed White refused to leave because he had nowhere else to live. When police arrived at the house, White was allegedly in bed wearing just his underwear. He was transported to the ACI as a probation violator.

Exeter Man Charged With Shoplifting From Walmart

Michael L. Gemme, 58, of 175 Stony Ln. in Exeter, was arrested May 9 at 3:18 p.m. on charges of shoplifting from Walmart.

According to a Walmart employee, Gemme took and concealed a two-pack of Sylvania mini bulbs and a fishing reel, worth $66.70.

Gemme is set to appear in Fourth District Court on May 24.

NK Man Hit With DUI Charge

Robert Ernst, 61, of 63 Sunnybrook Drive in North Kingstown, was arrested May 11 at 12:19 a.m. on charges of drunken driving.

Police pulled Ernst over on Frenchtow Road after allegedly see him drift between lanes and fail to stop at a red light before turning. According to police, Ernst smelled of alcohol and had slurred speech. Ernst allegedly told police he was leaving Kingstown Bowl and heading to “Wendy’s to get a burger.” Ernst also allegedly told police he had “four or five beers” at the bowling alley.

After failing the field sobriety test, Ernst’s blood alcohol content allegedly measured at .171 during a preliminary test. At headquarters, Ernst refused to take a chemical test.

Ernst is slated to appear in Fourth District Court on May 24.

Coventry Man Charged With Disorderly Conduct

Nicholas Dean, 25, of 36 Lorraine Ave. in Coventry, was arrested May 15 at 12:52 a.m. on charges of disorderly conduct.

Dean and two other people were sitting on a lawn on Huling Road near Gillian’s Ale House when police arrived. According to reports, the three seemed to be under the influence. After a fourth person agreed to drive the other three home, Dean and another subject began to become agitated when police told them they could leave when the fourth person returned with the vehicle.

According to police, Dean asked officers, “Why are we being held against our rights? Why can’t we just leave?” Police allegedly explained that they were being held because they were publicly intoxicated while sitting in someone’s yard at 12:30 in the morning. According to reports, Dean became increasingly belligerent and even told his friends, “The NKPD don’t let you live freely.”

When the driver returned, Dean allegedly refused to leave the lawn and put his hands behind his head, telling police take him in now. According to police, Dean squared up to an officer in a threatening manner. After Dean once again refused to leave the lawn police arrested him.

He is set to appear in Fourth District Court on May 31.

  • Alissa Ines Hagerty, 38, of 1376 Tower Hill Rd. in North Kingstown, was arrested May 13 at 1:50 a.m. on charges of driving with a suspended license. She is set to appear in Fourth District Court on May 24.
  • Juan Casado Jr., 19, of 201 Manton Ave. in Providence, was arrested May 14 at 12:58 a.m. on following a warrant for his arrest out of Seekonk. He was transported to the ACI.
  • Andrew Rossi, 24, of 100 Apple Tree Ct. in North Kingstown, was arrested May 14 at 8:33 p.m. on charges of driving on a suspended license. He is set to appear in Fourth District Court on May 31.
