NK Couple Renews Vows at Wickford Junction
A North Kingstown couple renewed their vows at the Wickford Junction Commuter Rail Station.
Thirty years ago, Greg Coppa popped the question to his wife Abby. Last week, Abby evened up the tally and surprised her husband by getting down on one knee.
For the couple's 30th anniversary, Abby decided to mix things up by surprising her husband with a renewal of vows at the new Wickford Junction Commuter Rail Station – only a few miles down the road from their home in Wickford. According to friends, Greg thought the couple was going out for a night with friends and discovered the night would entail a bit more than that when his wife went down on one knee outside the train station.
P.S. If Greg Coppa's name looks familiar, you might remember him from a story we ran almost two years ago. Coppa's short story "November Christmas" became the inspiration for a Hallmark movie of the same name.

Just thought it would be nice to highlight something uplifting on the site. North Kingstown is not just all about the school committee and town council meetings, the outsourcing of schools' custodians, firefighters battling against a 24-hour shift schedule, turbines, etc. All those stories are part of North Kingstown, but they are far from being considered the heart and soul of this town in my opinion.

You are right Ms. Turner. I apologize. I was just goofing around. I meant no offense to you, the story or the subjects.....just goofing off.
