Man Assaults Four Officers, Woman on Christmas Day

John Joseph Kilcommons Jr., 56, was charged with four counts of assault and four other misdemeanors after assaulting four NK police officers and a woman on Christmas.

John Joseph Kilcommons Jr., 56, of 26 Hanson Drive in North Kingstown, was arrested Dec. 25 at 8:40 p.m. after allegedly assaulting four officers and a woman on Christmas.

Police arrived at Kilcommons’ home after receiving a 911 hang-up.  When they arrived, they found Kilcommons sitting shirtless and smoking a cigarette in the living room – which was in complete disarray. Police allegedly found Kilcommons’ victim in her bedroom, sitting with her knees to her chest and visibly upset. According to reports, the victim called police after she heard items being broken in the house. According to her statements, she told officers that Kilcommons had grabbed the phone from her and threw it, flipped over a desk in her room and threw a lamp at her.

According to Kilcommons, his victim had caused all the damage in the home because she was drunk. Police noted that she did not appear to be intoxicated but Kilcommons smelled of alcohol and his attitude would shift during questioning.
