Event of the Day: Making a Healthier North Kingstown
North Kingstown kicks off its Healthy Places by Design project.
Want to help make North Kingstown a healthier community? The Town of North Kingtown, in conjunction with the West Bay Family YMCA, kicks off its Healthy Places by Design initiative tonight at the Cold Spring Community Center at 7 p.m.
The project stems from a grant the town received from the Department of Health. The grant allows the town to develop a program that will improve walkability, safety, recreation options, transportation choices, access to healthy foods and/or limit access to tobacco products.
